Anthony F. Pappas, a Society of American Foresters (SAF) Certified Forester (CF) and a

Registered Professional Forester (RPF), is the founder of Heritage Habitat & Forestry, LLC and a strategic natural resources manager with over a decade of comprehensive experience. Anthony is

the architect of the firm’s “Data-to-Ground” methodology, an approach that systematically

validates advanced geostatistical models with rigorous, on-the-ground fieldwork.

A graduate of West Virginia University’s forestry program (B.S., Magna Cum Laude) and

currently pursuing an M.S. in Forestry with a Graduate Certificate in GIS and Spatial Analysis,

Anthony specializes in the complex computational analysis essential for modern natural resource

challenges. His expertise includes leveraging Bayesian statistics and machine learning

algorithms (e.g., MaxEnt, Random Forest) to model carbon sequestration dynamics across vast

landscapes, integrating large-scale datasets such as FIA to drive predictive accuracy.

As the leader of an integrated ecological consultancy firm, Anthony translates this sophisticated

data into measurable outcomes for clients across the country. He created the firm’s geospatial

arm – HH&F Geospatial & Data Solutions – which utilizes LiDAR, hyperspectral imagery,

drone analysis, and artificial intelligence to conduct high-resolution terrain and vegetation

analyses, modeling critical variables such as soil characteristics, elevation, and slope to predict

carbon storage and optimize ecological health. The ecosystem analytical arm – Heritage

Ecosystem Partners – provides critical validation and verification services for leading global

carbon developers. His direct experience includes overseeing initial plot installation, five-year

remeasurements, and field audits essential for GHG inventories and project verification.

By authoring over 500 forest management plans, he ensures that all on-the-ground activities are

optimized to serve the critical nexus of geospatial data, ecological health, and financial returns,

securing long-term value and sustainability for clients across more than 20 states. By applying

these advanced analytical capabilities to ecological management, Mr. Pappas ensures that every

strategic decision is ro
